U3A Trends
You can’t stop your hair turning grey,
It’s a natural trend here to stay!
Though the ladies may try, with a rinse or a dye,
They mostly give up anyway.
But with ‘grey matter’ things are quite different –
To preserve it the best plan is use!
You can do that today if you join U3A,
For you’ll give Father Time no excuse.
Staying active need not cost a fortune
When talents and skills freely share,
Get a slice of the action, for brain satisfaction
The Third Age can yield lively fare.
Membership
Membership is by an all inclusive fee, allowing members to attend as many sessions as they wish . The only extra charges are for “specials”, e.g. outings, or for petrol or refreshments if relevant.
Fees cover the YU3A year, which runs from September to August, and there are reduced rates for new members who join after Christmas or Easter. There is provision for attendance to a limited number of ‘taster’ sessions before commitment to membership, but this has to be limited on account of insurance restrictions.
